How To Get Free New Outfits with Pinterest!

You can use Pinterest to get more outfits from the clothes already in your closet. I tried it and it works. And it’s way too much fun!

I’m finding new ways to wear clothes I already have without buying anything new to make it work. It feels like I am getting all these new clothes because I have so many new combinations. These are combinations I would never have thought of on my own. They are more stylish than the way I usually wear my clothes–a nice bonus. It’s like getting a personal stylist to make sure you look your best!

Here’s how to do this on Pinterest. Find the search bar at the top left of a Pinterest page. You can see the little white letter “P” in a red circle there.

Type in an item of clothing you have that you don’t wear as much as you’d like. Then add the word “outfit.” Click for the search and enjoy the results!

I did this for a “green cardigan outfit” to try this. I bought the cardi on sale and couldn’t think what to wear it with other than a white top and black pants. I found so many cute looks! For example I now will wear the cardi with my maxi spaghetti strap dress that has green in the pattern. So beautiful!

Then I did a search for “jeans jacket outfit” (don’t use the quotation marks) and got so many great ideas! I pinned the ones I liked to a special board–could be a private board if you like. Pinterest calls it that a secret board, a board only viewable by you.

But can I remember these when I want to go somewhere? Lightbulb goes off I my head: take photos of my versions of the outfits! So I laid out some outfits on the couch and took photos of them.

Now all I have to is scroll through my photos to see a particular outfit. I can pack for a trip and remember what I planned to wear by checking the photos on my iPad. No more trying to package up a complete outfit with its accessories in bags. That doesn’t work well when you plan to use some items with more than one outfit anyway. Easier packing! No worries about remembering what goes with what!

This works well for your career wardrobe clothes too. It can save you a lot of money!

Try this when you have a little spare time. It’s like going shopping and everything is free. Enjoy!
