You know those delicious dark chocolate covered fruits?
Chocolate covered dried cherries, chocolate covered blueberries, chocolate covered strawberries. They are chocolate love that costs quite a lot per ounce.
You could make them by melting dark chocolate. That’s definitely doable.
Or you could take just a couple of minutes to create a delicious dessert with the same decadent flavors and the added luxury of a thick creamy texture.
Plus it’s much cheaper per ounce. Ready for this?
Easy Dark Chocolate Pudding with Fruit
1. Into a cereal bowl put a serving size container of fruit flavored yogurt with fruit pieces in it. I use Greek yogurt because of the thick texture and higher protein count. Stir it until it the fruit is well blended and the yogurt is creamy. You don’t want it to be just a lump.
2. Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder. Carefully and slowly mix the cocoa into the yogurt. Be careful to keep the cocoa powder from flying out of the bowl.
3. Put into a smaller bowl to serve if you want it to look less messy. Enjoy this healthy, mouth-watering treat! You can garnish with a mint leaf and or piece of fresh fruit if you like. A piece of fruit always dresses up a dessert!
A tablespoon of cocoa powder is just 20 calories. You get a lot of flavor for those calories, plus chocolate has anti-oxidants good for your heart and health in general.
This does have a rich dark chocolate flavor. If you don’t like dark chocolate you probably won’t like this.
