Great news! Studies have found that coffee lessens the pain of exercise.
Whether you are a gym rat, walk, hike, or ride a bike on weekends, you can enjoy your exercise a lot more and for a lot longer after coffee.
You’ll need 2 cups of coffee to get the benefit, but that’s the amount I drink every morning anyway. If you exercise after work, you might want to try a little less than that so you can sleep at night.
Too hot for hot coffee? Drink iced coffee! If you exercise in the morning, brew coffee the night before and keep in the refrigerator. And keep a stock of ice cubes made of leftover coffee in the freezer. Then in the morning, just add a few coffee ice cubes to a drink holder and pour the chilled coffee over that and you’re good to go!
If you like cream and sugar in your iced coffee, add the sugar to the hot coffee to dissolve before refrigerating it. Add milk or cream after the coffee ice cubes in the morning.
