I just finished a road trip with my sweet 3-year-old grandson and my daughter-in-law. It was amazingly smooth with our little guy having few issues. At a fast-food restaurant he was reaching into his food bag & knocked over his chocolate milk. My jeans got a wash in chocolate milk, but after a bunch of napkins all was well again. I have to say that such an incident would have bothered me a lot more as a mom, but it was just a sweet reminder of earlier days to me now. What a sweetie we have. I made a mental note to always wear jeans or dark colored pants for any future road trips with the grandkids. How sweet it is to spend time with them.
One more anecdote from the trip. I told our little guy that it was beginning to be fall when the leaves would fall off the trees. He laughed and said that must be like green rain. So cute.
I haven’t done a blog round-up for a while and wanted to include some really great articles. I know you’ll find great tips from these bloggers:
1. The Family CEO shares how she saves 30% or more buying items from Target online. It takes some organizing, but not too much once you learn these tricks.
3. Barbara Friedberg has a great way for you to decide if the iPhone5 is something worth buying. She makes it personal!
5. As you probably know, I’m a big fan of stress management. It’s just too easy to get stressed out and that’s bad for our health and our ability to handle our daily schedules. (See the links on the sidebar here at Square Pennies.) Miranda at Free From Broke offers 5 really good tips to help you deal with economic uncertainty. Don’t let the economy overwhelm you!

Mr. CBB! I love your blog round-ups too. I don’t know if I can get organized enough to do one every week, but it could be good. Looking forward to your Scary Finger Cookies, mate! Sausage Cabbage Potato Stew sounds like it would keep a person warm on Fall and Winter nights. Thanks! Maggie
