Outlet Shopping at Its Best |
Just a quick post. There’s one outlet store I really love: Talbots. They have terrific prices, like $8 for jeans and $4 for a dressy top that would be beautiful for holiday parties.
Sometimes clothing at outlet stores are made specifically for the outlet stores. The quality isn’t the same as for the items in their regular non-outlet stores. I have not found that to be true with Talbots. First of all, their clothes are well made and last longer than a lot of other clothes. Second, the clothes in their outlets are the same quality as those in their regular stores. That makes their clothing frugal in the best sense of the word. They do have a lot of trendy styles as well as classics. I like all of that.
You can sometimes find their outlet stores in an outlet mall, and sometimes you’ll find them not in an outlet mall, but in a strip mall. Insiders know that they have special discounts on a particular day of the month. I don’t have one of their outlets near me,but when we were in Atlanta I think the other shoppers said it was on the second Tuesday of each month. Ask other shoppers which day of the week has the new shipment of clothing for the best selection. I found other shoppers were friendly and very willing to share where the best deals were.
Talbots Outlet is a great places to get clothes for work as they will look professional, yet stylish. And you can’t beat the value. They have good items for more casual clothes too and it’s a fun place to shop!

UPDATE: I used to include in this post a disclaimer that I had no affiliation with Talbot’s. Today an ad from them suddenly appeared on my site. Some of you know that I’m pretty much all thumbs when it comes to running a website. Anyway, it seems I now have ads on Square Pennies. I have no choice on which ones appear, but I’m kind of happy that Talbot’s was my first one. I do shop their regular store sometimes and love their sales!
