Hi I’m Mr.CBB and I’m here to tell you about The Grocery Game Challenge, what it is and why it was developed for our blog.
First off we are not like the American Grocery Game where they charge you to get all the latest and greatest deals weekly paired with your coupons. For some that may be the way to go, but I simply get our coupon match ups from Save Big, Live Better where she pairs coupons with flyer deals in Canada for free.
Every week we try to get better than the previous week spending and saving money in the grocery budget, then we post our shop in The Grocery Game Challenge. I admit it doesn’t always work out, but for the most part if you watch what you spend you should have no problem at all.
Our Grocery Budget Goals
The Grocery Game Challenge was born in February, 2012 and has since grown slowly adding a new poster each week. You can read the rules to the game here. I admit it is tough some weeks but knowing that we have to post our shop and that others will read what we did and how well we did certainly is motivation in itself. Some of our posters have seen a significant savings in their grocery budget simply by being mindful and posting their shops each week. What do you need to do?
- We post the store we went to
- What we purchased (was it on sale?)
- How many we purchased of each and did we use a coupon?
- Total Cost Our of Pocket (Oop)
- Total Coupons Used
- Did we meet our budget for the week; were we under or over
- What will you do to improve your next shop?
Amount to spend in grocery budget for the week $64.00
1x parsley Sale $0.99
Can you mess up your grocery budget?
