We seem to be getting a heat wave this weekend. Grab a cool drink and wear some loose-fitting clothing. Here are some ways to beat the heat that I like:
Easy Iced Coffee I make this all the time and it tastes wonderful! I think it’s just as good as the iced coffee at Starbucks. It’s very inexpensive to make, so treat yourself!
Frosty Coffee Ice Cream Pie Not exactly low calorie, but soooooooo good.
Quick Project; Sew a Breezy Caftan This is the most comfortable thing to put on when you get home from work or for lounging around at home. It also makes a great beach cover-up. You almost don’t have to know hot to sew to make this. Choose a lightweight cotton fabric that feels good next to your skin.
Sew a Simple Neck Cooler that has water-absorbing crystals inside. Wet it and wear it around your neck. It will keep you cool until the crystals are dry again. Very useful for gardening, grilling, hiking, and camping!
Here’s the Secret to Quickly Cool Down Your Car. Nobody likes to get into a hot car. Here’s the trick to cooling it off fast. There’s science behind this method and it works!
Lastly, check out these 8 Cheap and Inventive Ways to Cool Yourself There are some wacky ones, but you might enjoy trying them. Have fun!
Here’s how I picture it all. You get off from work and cool down your car. You arrive home and change into that light caftan, mix up some delicious iced coffee, and settle down with it. You give one of those neck coolers to your mate who is grilling dinner. After all they should be cool too. Then you sit down to a nice grilled dinner followed by Frosty Coffee Ice Cream Pie. You start reading about the wacky ways to cool off and decide which ones to try tomorrow. Who me? Hot? I don’t think so.
