Isn’t this just the greatest blanket? It’s made entirely of solid color crocheted granny squares to give the 8-bit look. If you know any Mario Brothers fans this is a fast way to make a cool looking blanket/throw for them. You can take granny squares with you to work on almost anywhere, while you wait in a doctor’s office or at a soccer game, etc. You just connect the squares later, so there’s no bulky project to tote around.

Granny squares are some of the easiest things to learn to crochet and you can use them to make all sorts of projects.
