I like these recipes more than most that I see on tv for Halloween drinks. They are easy to make & have a great look. I saw this on the tv show, “The Chew” and it looks even better than pictured here. The swamp water martini looks so cool with the celery strings hanging over the edge. To get the strings they said to use a “zester” tool, but I think you can peel off strings pretty easily with a knife.
My favorite thing was the eyeballs you see floating in the glass at the bottom of the photo. They cut red radishes to make a hollow in the middle so that a green olive would fit inside. Use a pimento-stuffed olive that you trim a bit to show the red pimento well. If you scrape the outside of the radish with a paring knife to remove some of the red it looks more like a bloody eyeball. Freeze each eyeball in an ice cube or use them without freezing.
You can add these eyeball ice cubes to any drink. I’m thinking the swampwater martini might benefit from a floating eye or two. Creepy!
Another idea they had was to put a couple of tablespoons of red jelly in the bottom of a martini glass and cover with your favorite martini mix.
