Add some cozy fall decor to your home with “sweater sleeves” for your vases and candle holders. What a clever way to recycle/upcycle an old sweater! If you have one with interesting stitches or patterns it gives wonderful texture. I love these sleeves with cable stitches–gorgeous. I think these could work well in your fall and winter holiday decor also.
Don’t put a sweater sleeve directly on a candle that you will light. No sense starting the house on fire. But if you have a candle holder you can add the sweater sleeve. Flameless candles would work with a sleeve directly on the candle of course.
Scout out thrift shops, GoodWill, etc. for good candidates for this sweater chop. Don’t throw out the leftover sweater parts as there are many projects that use them. Click on the label “recycle sweater” below this post for ideas.
