That’s how much you could save in Boston if you took the train instead of driving to work every day. That’s just the savings in gas and parking costs. If you add in the lower wear and tear on your car & the amount of service required on your car, you’ll be saving even more.
If you start taking the train or other public transportation be sure to let your car insurance agent know. They will be able to lower your car insurance payment quite a bit. It’s based on how many miles a week you drive the car and the areas that it gets driven. Even more savings!
If you are lucky enough to have a train/subway system near you, start taking it, at least some of the time. Ka-ching!
It can be more relaxing to ride to work instead of driving. Whether you read or snooze it’s some extra “down time” to let your mind relax between work and home. The stress of driving is not good for your health, so you could be reaping all kinds of health benefits.
