With all that’s happening in the world right now something soothing sounds good. Here’s a nice little video of Mr. Rogers visiting a crayon factory. Maybe you saw it as a kid or a parent; I remember it well.
People used to make fun of Fred Rogers for having such a calm voice and saying some simple things. But I think he was wonderful. He gave kids a sense that everything was interesting and even presented some difficult subjects in a non-threatening way. I prefer his shows to some of the crazy violent cartoons that young kids often see today.
So let yourself drift back to simpler times and enjoy seeing how crayons are made. You might like to watch for your favorite color. Is your favorite color now the same one you had as a child?
Click title for link at Mashable. The piano music in the background is a little smooth jazz by Joe Negri who provided all the music for the Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood shows. A class act. Now where did I put that big box of crayons?
