This picture leaves me almost speechless. It’s sort of art. It’s very practical. It takes up very little space. Why not attach partial chairs to a wall? lol
People have been using chairs to hang clothes on for ages. I even use a chair as my bedside table, though I don’t usually hang clothes on it. It’s a handy height for putting my glasses & a book on & that’s all I need for a bedside table. You can add a tray if you want a more flat surface.
I put a pretty chair in our smallish front hall instead of a table & it serves the same purpose as a place to put gloves, an occasional scrarf, keys, a sometimes a purse. Since it won’t hold much, I don’t have to worry about too much piling up there. I don’t need to set decorative items on it, though I sometimes put a pretty pillow on it. It has a pretty carved back, so I consider it a decor item in itself.
The chairs used in the linked article are new ones bought to be exactly the same. If you decide to do this, it does look better if both chairs area the same. You might have a couple of chairs that you don’t know what to do with that would be great for this use. Or you may find some chairs at a garage sale or resale shop (GoodWill, etc.) that are cheap enough to use this way.
I prefer a chair left intact that can be moved around the house as needed, but for small spaces this is a great idea. If this works for you go for it!
