If you have wooden furniture needing a makeover, get out the paint. This is a good solution especially when the wood is not good. (I still cringe when people paint over oak, walnut, maple, etc.)
This mini-makeover uses white paint but black paint also works well with many decor styles. Often people will paint mismatched furniture all white or all black to get a coordinated look for very little money. I’ve also seen this look good in a light gray, light fern green, and tan. The advantage to using white or black is that you can always get more paint at a later date if you need to paint another piece of furniture for the room. I like a semi-gloss paint for best wear & you can clean it easily with soap and water if you get any scuff marks on it.
You might find furniture for this project at garage sales or thrift stores.
With warmer weather on the way, it’s a good time to start planning these painting jobs which really should be done outside for proper ventilation. I know it’s Spring when I am out in the driveway painting something! lol
