We always knew it was healthy–it’s almost always listed as a Super Food. Now we find out it actually does build muscles. So how are you going to get spinach into your kids? Popeye? Not so much. Saying it’s good for them? Nope.
The best way IMHO is to make some really tasty dishes that just happen to have spinach in them. We like a fresh spinach salad, especially with mandarin oranges, craisins and toasted pecans. We love little squares of cheesy spinach rice casserole so much that we eat it for snacks! When making soup, crumble in some frozen spinach leaves from a bag. Try it in a dip. When our grandson was 3 he loved a hot spinach cheese dip at a restaurant so much that we had to just about pry him off of the serving dish. He was obsessed with it! lol There is a spinach recipe out there that your kids will love too.
