This is a wonderful cake to bring to someone and uses up those ripe bananas. The caramel sauce makes it oh so luxurious, but you could use a chocolate sauce instead if you like. Or drizzle a bit of both.
This cake is better the second day, keeps well, and freezes well if you don’t add the sauce until after it’s thawed.
