Here are some great ways to ramp up your immune system during cold and flu season. All of these are cheap to buy but pack a real nutritional punch. You could by all 15 of these Super Foods and not spend more than $20 on your bill, but it might be better to buy only what you will use in a week’s time. Just keep these foods on your grocery list often this time of year.
Here’s the list: kale, broccoli, winter squash, sweet potatoes (yum), cabbage, apples, quinoa, brown basmati rice, barley (add to soup), adzuki beans, black beans (Tex-Mex), flax seed (add to cereal), sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, almonds.
How about making some granola that includes the flax seed, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and almonds?
