This is a very easy project to add some glittzy glam to any outfit. You use a silk flower that you dismantle and reassemble without the fake flower center or the stem & green calyx that holds the petals together. Use some glittery spray to add pizzazz. Then add a fancy button for the center. Voila! A one-of-a-kind embellishment for a dress, purse, belt, hair band, etc. for a party or night out.
Of course you can make it less glizty by not using the glitter spray & using a more every day type button. Still cute. If you don’t have any old buttons saved (start saving them!), you can find some at a fabric or craft store. Sometimes a garment from a resale shop, like GoodWill, has great buttons for crafting. For $3 or less you can get quite a few really nice buttons. You can even use the garment itself with other buttons you have or for crafting or upcycling.
