This recipe was perfected by my dad over several years of dedication to pork roast! lol He was very serious about making roasts wonderful. You could say he was devoted to his work when it came to roasts.
This makes 1 cup of basting sauce & should be brushed on the pork roast every half hour until the roast is done. He had the oven set at 325 degrees. You might be able to use this same sauce in a slow cooker. The flavoring would be the same, but probably not the crispiness of the roast.
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
10 Tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon regular salt
1 teaspoon white sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
You might prefer a different amount of some of these ingredients, but the first time around you might want to try it as written. It was very good.
Enjoy!
