This is a hugely popular cheese ball recipe & doesn’t use any flavoring packets. The flavor comes from the hot pepper sauce, the Worcestershipre sauce, the minced garlic, and the fresh parsley. All in a cream cheese & cheddar cheese base, rolled in chopped pecans. No wonder it’s so popular!
You can freeze any cheese ball way ahead of time & have these appetizers ready to go. Just wrap them well in plastic wrap followed by aluminum foil to seal out as much as as possible.
I prefer making cheese balls in the log shape becaue they are easier to serve (people just slice off a portion for their cracker) & rewrap any leftovers. A partially eaten cheese ball is not very appetizing IMHO. It still tastes good though.
For Christmas time you can roll some cheese balls/logs in red & green. Use paprika for the red & dried parsley or other green herb you like for the green. A third cheese ball could have the nuts. You can divide any cheese ball recipe into thirds for this look or even make mini cheese balls in an assortment.
