Want a gourmet appetizer that is easy to make? Here you go: warm melty brie encrusted with crushed hazelnuts. Yum! Trust me, everyone will be impressed.
Cut a small wheel of brie into wedges, dip them in beaten egg then in crushed nuts. Fry them briefly and serve with good crackers or toasted French bread rounds. You might have some hazelnuts left over from Christmas to use, but any nuts work for this recipe.
These make wonderful appetizers for a New Year’s Eve party or can be put on salads or sandwiches.
