I keep seeing articles saying that food prices are going to keep rising through the first half of 2011. One way to prepare for that is to buy extras on sale priced groceries now. That’s not completely easy when you have holiday expenses and a busy schedule, but making the effort could pay off in 2011.
Frozen turkeys are at a good price now as are fresh sweet potatoes (keep well in a cool, dark, dry place). Fresh cranberries can be frozen. Canned goods last at least a year, sometimes 2. If you see a good sale, try to stock up as best you can on items you know you will use.
