I really like Tai Chi (rhymes with My Tea). The moves are so relaxing, yet they give you confidence and increasing control of your muscles in the moves. It’s helps you keep good control of your body even if you are momentarily thrown off balance.
It’s kind of like doing martial arts in slow motion and I enjoy experiencing going through the movements with increasing precision. And it’s good for your immune system! Nice for cold and flu season.
Many people can do Tai Chi, even elderly people, but it’s good to start with a class. After that you can do it on your own or with a CD to guide you. Very cheap, very good for you, and very empowering. It seems to calm you since you are moving slowly and are concentrating on the movement of your various body parts. Great stuff!
