We love snacks & often get in a rut about which ones we eat. Many times we have dry-roasted peanuts, popcorn, Triscuits (for the whole wheat), a small cheese quesadilla, banana (sometimes with peanut butter on it), apples, a small piece of cheese, raisins, yogurt with frozen fruit added, walnuts mixed with dried cranberries, hot cocoa, chocolate milk, toast (or even just a piece of wheat bread untoasted), hot sweetened tea, coffee with milk & sugar. Can you tell we are lazy? hehe When I’m really hungry I try to combine proteins within this list, like a piece of toast with hot chocolate, some cheese with the Triscuits, etc. That way I won’t get hungry so soon again.
Here are some great ideas for healthy snacks in several categories: salty, sweet, crunchy, etc. Give some of these a try.
