Don’t you hate it when a stain ruins your favorite shirt? Fruit stains are some of the worst. Here is a fantastic tip from my mother-in-law for these stains. It sounds crazy, but it really works!
If you spill any kind of fruit, fruit juice, or fruit jelly (even blueberries or purple grape juice!) on your clothes you must take the clothing item off as soon as possible. Get to a sink & turn on some hot water until it is as hot as it will get. Put the stain under the stream of water as close to the faucet as you can without causing the water to spray everywhere. The stain will come out fairly quickly.
I know this seems like the opposite of what common sense would be, but if you get the stain to the hot water soon enough, it will work like a charm. Try it on an old piece of clothing first if you don’t believe me. Of course then you are left with a wet shirt, but maybe the hand dryer will take care of that for you. This trick only works with fruit stains, all others will need cold water &/or stain removal methods.
