You won’t believe how often this guys washes his jeans. Would you believe every six months. And then he just soaks them in a bathtub with a little bit of Dr. Bronner’s soap. Without agitating the jeans in any way, he then just hangs them up to drip dry. No rinsing. Very simple.
I wonder how long his jeans last & how decent they look. He says that putting jeans in a washing machine messes up the threads & you lose the character of the jeans. He likes that jeans comform to the body shape & doesn’t want to destroy that look by washing them too often. You might wonder if they begin to stand up on their own after a few months, but he hangs them on a hook or post by a belt loop.
I’m sure most of us like our jeans clean more often than that, but you might want to try the washing in the bathtub method to see what you think. He spot cleans any spills or stains, so that the jeans look clean. Well, they look clean to him.
