This is so cute. The bean bags are super easy because 3 sides are already sewn up for you!
This would be a fun game for a family get together at the park or your backyard.
These bean bags are painted with a red star, but you could decorate them (or not) any way you like.
Update: I made these today & they are fun & easy to make. I made 6 pockets & I used 3 bags of lentil & split peas. I had about 1/2 bag of split peas left over. I just eye-balled the amount to put in the pockets, but if you want all the pockets to weigh approximately the same, you could memeasure the amount of lentils you add. I sewed the seam twice to be sure it would hold. I used brown thread because it was the closest match I had. I backstitched a couple of times at the ends of the line of stitching & it looks perfectly in character with the jeans stitching (which is often backtacked).
These have a wonderful “hand feel” so I didn’t paint on them. They give the feel of horseshoes, but are much safer!
I think I might call this game “Hot Pockets!” We’re going to play this at our Fourth of July family get together & I expect it will be popular.
I found this idea at ChicaAndJo.
