This quiche is famous in our family. My daughter-in-law started making it, and no one
can resist it. It is requested for many a family get together.
She made a few changes to the recipe:
“I omitted the milk entirely (makes the quiche too runny!)
Use turkey bacon instead of regular (one package of Oscar Meyer turkey bacon when I double the recipe.)
I use cracked black pepper instead of white pepper.
No nutmeg.
Premade pie crusts (store brand, whatever’s cheapest!)”
All I know is that we are glad when she doubles the recipe to make 2 of these wonderful pies. It’s fantastic with a little fruit for dessert.
Click here for the recipe at Better Homes and Gardens. You could make this as small tarts to serve as appetizers or at a brunch. Just put pie crust in muffin tins and then fill with the quiche mixture. Yum!
