A friend of mine is head of a social work agency that depends on state funding and charitable contributions for its budget. They can’t afford to pay their staff very high salaries. When my friend tells her staff they should dress professionally at work they complain they don’t get paid enough for that. She tells them to get work appropriate clothes at GoodWill, etc. and says that they shoul look like they are at work not on their way to a picnic. So no halter tops, shorts, or low-cut tops.
