I love making ice cream pie for a dessert that just about everyone loves.
It’s super easy and quick to make, and you probably have things to make it with already.
You can make or buy a graham cracker or chocolate cookie pie shell. Then just fill it with layers of 1 or more flavors of ice cream. In between ice cream layers you can put layers of nuts, chocolate syrup, jam, caramel, cookie crumbs, anything that could go on a sundae or in a “blizzard.” Cover with plastic wrap & freeze for at least several hours. It’s best to freeze it at least overnight.
To serve cut with a knife dipped in hot water and top with more syrup, whipped topping, nuts or more of what you put in the pie.
This is so much easier to serve than individual ice cream sundaes & less mess than a sundae bar. Be sure to put any left back in the freezer right away after serving.
