FinCon is a personal finance bloggers’ conference & I’m so excited to be going. It’s my first bloggers’ conference and I can’t wait to meet in person all the wonderful people I’ve met online. I’m by nature a quiet person, but I plan to talk (and listen!) a lot. I know I’m excited because every morning for the past week I wake up with Steve Miller Band’s “Keep On a Rockin'” in my head.
I hope to learn many new things to help make Square Pennies better. I’ll be asking all the bloggers their time management secrets and reporting their answers back to you. Hey, we all need tips for time management, don’t we? It seems to be one of the major challenges facing us all today.
I’m so happy that FinCon13 is in St. Louis. I grew up in the St. Louis area and know it’s a great place and a fun place. Here’s the post I did this past summer: 11 Free Things to Do in St. Louis that Are Really Nice. I should have called it St. Louis Really Rocks! I’m hoping to get some fellow bloggers together to go to the City Museum for a fun afternoon on Sunday. Anyone interested? (You can read about it in the above link.) Admission is $12 plus tax and their Sunday hours are 11-5.
If the St. Louis Cardinals clinch their post-season with the Dodgers while we are there, I expect the whole city will be out in the streets celebrating. Our hotel is right downtown, so it could be quite an experience. Yes, St. Louis rocks!
Wish me luck & I’ll be reporting back as soon as I can. GO CARDS!
