The Twinkies are coming! The Twinkies are coming! Americans can breathe easier. Twinkies will be back on the shelves sometime this summer. All is right with the world. You might see summer barbeques with mounds of Twinkies to celebrate. But who will eat them?
I can’t help but notice that many people are eating healthier these days. At a buffet, they go for the fruit. They cook at home to make sure they are eating something healthy. Salads are common. Asian dishes with lots of vegetables and low calorie count are popular.
But what about snacks? Whole fruit is the best, in my opinion. You can buy low calorie snacks, but that gets expensive and you are often getting highly processed foods. Here are some of my favorite recipes for healthy snacks. Give some of them a try to spice up your snack routine.
