It’s grillin’ season! Some say all you need for a great cook-out are burgers and beer.
That’s not a bad place to start, but how about adding some pizzaz to your usual barbeque!
Here are some of my favorite recipes for a summer get-together.
Blue Cheese Burgers A little bit of burger heaven. The blue cheese is mixed into the ground beef before grilling for an incredible flavor. It doesn’t really taste like blue cheese or even cheese. I just tastes like the best burger you’ve ever had–the beefiest! Serve with lettuce, tomato, etc. on good buns.

Balsamic Grilled Carrots with Rosemary Carrots are inexpensive, but they are gourmet made this way.
Grilled Foil-Wrapped Vegetables Make packets of any kind of veggies you like. Drizzle with olive oil before wrapping. So easy and so good.
German Potato Salad with Bacon This recipe is cheap to make, but it has great impact with all the flavors. It’s made with vinegar instead of mayonnaise, so it’s lower in calories and will stay safe on a hot day a lot longer than something make with mayo.

Easy Broccoli Tortellini Salad Make the day before for easy serving. Just about everyone loves this salad and it goes well with most menus.
Creamy Crunchy Low-Fat Caesar Salad A wonderful fresh green salad if you are limiting carbs.

Sangria Recipes to Try Red wine is good for you, but you can use any wine for sangria. Warning: sangria is always very popular! You always seem to need more bottles of wine than planned.
If you don’t want to buy so many bottles of wine, serve one or more of these fresh fruity drinks that are more on the inexpensive side. Everyone will enjoy these and the drinks look and taste great!
Grilled Banana Boat Treats with Chocolate Chips and Marshmallows These are not hard to make and are so yummy. They are awesome when camping or around a fire pit too!
